- Make unique paths. If you use paths that are available publicly on the forums or in the bot itself, you're more likely to be reported by another player, or even another botter!
- Take time to configure your combat settings. While this might seem like a waste of time, by figuring out the best and most efficient use of your skills with the bot, you will be able to level much faster in the long run, even if each fight takes only a second or two less.
- Don't forget about your crew skills! By harvesting raw resources while you grind, you can sell these for thousands of credits on the market later, or use them to level tradeskills on your botted character, or any other! Skills like salvaging are handy, as when killing robotic NPCs you will be able to harvest many of them for materials.
- Check that your bot is running well! Always watch the bot the first time it runs a new profile to make sure it is behaving as expected and not getting stuck. If the bot is running into obstacles, this will be very big giveaway to other players.
- Configure your sell settings. You can set the bot to only sell white items and below, but this means your inventory will still fill up very quickly with greens. It's better to automatically sell green items and create a list of items to not sell, including medi-pacs and harvested raw resources.
Have fun botting in Star Wars: The Old Republic!
